Peace by Piece

A National Program of Interfaith Dialogue Clubs for Middle and High School Students in Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Schools

Peace by Piece brings together students from Jewish, Muslim, and Christian middle and high schools to foster meaningful dialogue and build authentic friendships. In an increasingly interconnected and diverse world, it is essential to promote mutual understanding and respect among different religious traditions. Peace by Piece utilizes guided discussions, student-built collaborative projects, and community service to provide a safe and welcoming space for students to explore their faith, confront misconceptions, and cultivate interfaith leadership skills.

To look ahead, students must first look inward to consider what they believe, love, and value. Peace by Piece invites students to explore the beauty and profound truths rooted in the Abrahamic faiths, awakening learning and insight to promote understanding among different peoples, religions, and cultures.

Peace by Piece Objectives

A Peace by Piece chapter at your school supports open dialogue and collaboration, offering students opportunities to engage across religious divides, cultivate empathy, and understanding to become advocates for a more inclusive society.

For nearly 30 years, three Atlanta high schools—Marist School, The Weber School, and The Mohammed Schools of Atlanta—have been fostering interfaith dialogue and friendship through Peace by Piece. This unique initiative brings students together across religious and cultural lines, encouraging open conversations, mutual understanding, and lasting friendships that extend beyond graduation and into the broader community. We are excited to expand Peace by Piece to cities nationwide and help students lay a foundation of respect that transcends differences."
